Beef and Broccoli Stir Fry


Beef and Broccoli Stir Fry

  • 4 cups broccoli

  • 1 lb flank steak

  • 2 tsp soy sauce or coconut aminos (if gluten free)

  • 2 tsp sesame oil

  • 1/4 tsp of baking soda (tenderizer)

Directions


Marinade

  1. Combine soy sauce / coconut aminos, sesame oil and baking soda

  2. Let sit at least 15 minutes, or overnight for the best flavor

Stir Fry

  1. Thinly slice flank or fajita meat against the grain and cover in the marinade and let sit for at least 15 minutes up to overnight

  2. Stir-fry broccoli after washing until tender and then set aside

  3. Cook your beef strips on medium-high until nicely browned and set aside

  4. Turn your heat down and add 1 tbsp of minced garlic and ginger and saute until fragrant

  5. Add back your beef strips and broccoli, add 2 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tbsp sesame oil, 1/2 tbsp monk fruit or stevia, and about 1/4-1/2 cup of water

  6. Bring to a boil and sprinkle in slowly 1 tsp of xanthan gum to help thicken your sauce

  7. Once most of your water has evaporated you are ready to serve!
