Cajun Lemon Butter Salmon Bites

An easy and delicious recipe that's healthy too!

Cajun Lemon Butter Salmon Bites

Ingredients

  • Salmon filet

  • Cajun seasoning

  • 2 tbsp butter

  • 1 shallot (optional)

  • Juice of half a lemon

  • Black pepper

Directions

  1. Remove the skin from the salmon (if it has skin on it). Cut the salmon into about 1 inch wide strips. Now cut the strips into about 1 inch cubes.

  2. Preheat air fryer to 400F

  3. Use your hands or tongs to ensure every piece of salmon is evenly coated with the seasoning. (I used Slap Ya Mama seasoning)

  4. Now gently place the salmon into the air fryer in one even layer. Careful not to overcrowd the pan as you want each piece to sear and brown (cook in batches if needed).

  5. Cook the salmon for 5-6 minutes on 400 F

  6. Once the salmon is cooked, remove it and set it to the side.

  7. Pre-heat a pan to medium

  8. Add your finely chopped shallot (optional) and saute until fragrant

  9. Place the two tablespoons of butter into the skillet, and sprinkle the cajun seasoning, a squeeze of lemon juice, and black pepper. Stir it around until everything is combined.

  10. Turn the heat off, and add the salmon into the skillet (or just drizzle on top). Gently mix it into the garlic butter until the salmon is coated.
